TOPIC: HOW YOU MUST ACT IN ORDER TO BE HAPPY, HEALTHY AND ALRIGHT THROUGHOUT LIFE

PREAMBLE

Unless you consciously learn how to act well you will find life very though. There are lots of inborn and acquired acts which cause problems for people’s life and make them unhappy. Going through the following ten points will give you the key to be happy, healthy and alright throughout life. You will conquer anger, fear, depression and other spiritual and physical sicknesses. This message is for those who are Christians already.

1.    “In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thess. 5:18). In good or bad situations be very thankful to God, God is in charge of the world and the universe. He allows everything to happen. Therefore thank Him for those things for you cannot ask Him question. You can’t battle with Him. He is holy. He allows only holy things to happen.

In every circumstance thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Learn to sing praises to God (Ps. 34:1-3, Heb. 13:15, Ps. 81:1-4). Be like king David – THE CHOIR MASTER OF ISREAL. Make sweet melody in your heart. “For all things are yours: whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death or things present or things to come – all are yours” (1 Corinth. 3:21b-22). All churches are yours for it is written, ‘it is not only on this mountain that men shall worship the Father”.

2.    “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). Most of the time we praise God when only pleasant things happen to us and tend to blame Him for ugly situations. This should not be so. If you are a child of God, know that all things are for your good. Job said the Lord gave and the Lord taketh. The key point is as long as you are a child of God, even if heaven should join with the earth that’s what God wills for you. Therefore give Him thanks. Job was thankful to God at all the loss that came his way. He later got double his wealth, riches, health and the most beautiful daughters (women) on earth.

Heed the words of scripture, “count it all joy when you fall into grievous testing (afflictions)” (James 1:2). Instead of reacting in the flesh (temperament) react in the spirit by learning to praise the Lord in the circumstances. Not for them, but in them. There is a difference. There are some circumstances in life for which we cannot give thanks or “count it all joy”. But there are no circumstances in which we Christians cannot count it all joy or give thanks to God and what He is able to do in the midst of our affliction. The kingdom of God is “righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost” Let that be true for you.

3.    “Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God” (Phil 4:6-8). Do not worry. Don’t allow anxiety to have a place in your life. At all situations and circumstances, pray, supplicate and be thankful for what has happened and for the answer to your request. Actually, if you do what is written in points 1 and 2, you will never be anxious. Don’t pray only in bad times. But pray, supplicate, intercede, and be thankful at all times (1 Tim. 2:1). “pray without ceasing” “watch and pray”. “Men ought always to pray and not to faint”. “Pray that ye may not fall into temptation”.

4.    “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit” (Rom. 8:1). Do not either be self condemned or allow others and Satan to condemn you in anything at anytime as long as you are in Christ Jesus. For what ever Spirit led act you have done, it was the will of God. Don’t permit guilty conscious while in act you have done, it was the will of God. Don’t permit guilty conscience while in Christ. For your old life, Christ had taken care of that on the cross of Calvary.

Note that living in Christ is not freedom to sin but freedom from sin “for whosoever the Son of man met free is free indeed”. And if the Son of man set ye free, ye shall be free indeed”. Claim no condemnation from whosoever as long as you have nothing against yourself. If you are living out the Bible let people condemn you, it will not rest in your heart, mind or conscience because people condemn you, it will not rest in your heart, mind or conscience because you “know whom you have believed”, He only is your judge for you are a spiritual man. No one can judge a spiritual man except God. Read 2 Corinth. 5:17. You are a new creature since you are in Christ. Your old things have passed away. You have been fully forgiven of them. Period.

5.    “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing”. (1 Thess. 5:16-17) “Abstain from every form of evil” (1 Thess. 5:22). You are to rejoice always and be very prayerful. As long as you abstain from every form of evil, forget it, you will be happy, healthy and alright throughout your life on earth. There will be no room or place for depression in your life. You must know what to abstain from. In fact everything that seems or look like evil, abstain from them. Study to show yourself approved unto God otherwise you may dwell in unintentional sins (sins of ignorance). Studying to show yourself approved unto God will give you a happy and good conscience, long life, good health and answered prayer.

6.    “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (2 Corinth 7:1). After giving your life to Christ, there may still be some leftovers of sins that defile not only the flesh but also the spirit. You must use prayers and the word of God to cleanse those besetting sins and weights, and also with the help of the Holy Spirit in you (read Heb. 12:1-2).

7.    Always forgive people when they sin against you, for you yourself needs to be forgiven by others and God for your sins against them. If you don’t forgive others God will not also forgive your sins. There’s joy in forgiving those. Get that joy.

8.    “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Tim. 3:16). Do not allow your faith in Jesus Christ to be based on one verse of the scripture. Neither should you over emphasize one scripture over others. From Genesis to Revelation, Christ is preached. Therefore believe the full gospel which will give you full salvation that touches your spirit, soul and body. You will lack nothing that spirit, soul and body need if you live by full gospel.

9.    “No other foundation can anyone lay other than Jesus Christ” (1 Corinth. 3:11, 1 Peter 2:1-10). Ensure to have and abide in Christ Jesus as the foundation of your faith. He is the author and finisher of your faith (Heb. 12:2). He is the beginning and end of your life, faith and everything. Acknowledge and glorify him both in secret and in the open. Make Him your standard. Be filled and led by Spirit. “For as many as are led by the Spirit are the sons of God” Don’t neglect your special gift from God. Fan them into flame and use them often (1 Tim. 4:14, 1 Corinth. 7:7, Rom. 12:3-9, 1 Corinth. 12:7-31, Eph. 4:11-13). When you use them you will become spiritually fulfilled and actualized.

10.    “He who called you is faithful, who also will do it” (1 Thess. 5:24). All these things and many more will be done for you not by your might or power but by Him who called you to be His son or daughter. No matter what weakness you have in your life whether inherited from your parents or caused by your old way of life, the good news is, “He who called you is faithful, who also will do it”. Trust in Him and you will be an overcomer. Hence, if you act these ten ways you will be happy, alright and healthy throughout your life on earth and find yourself in heaven. Please ensure to read all the Bible portions given in this message of dominion so that you can benefit maximally from it. Peace be with you.
