TOPIC: SPIRITUAL UNDERTONES FOR YOUR RENEWAL: THE APPOINTED TIME HAS COME

God can always do it again. He is God of repetition. He did it for Daniel, Moses, Jesus, Lazarus, Shedrach, Meshach, Abednego, Hannah, Elizabeth, the virgin Mary, Zachariah, Manoah, Gideon, Sampson, John, David, Samuel, Elijah, Joseph, Elisha, Naaman, Hezekiah, Jehoshaphat, Mary Magdalene and Peter. God did it also for Jeremiah, Adam and Eve, Paul, Silas, Abel, Abraham, Sarah, Lot, Noah, Hagar, Ishmael, Isaac, Rebecca, Jacob, Leah, Rachel, Pharaoh’s Cupbearer, Aaron, Joshua, Jael, Miriam, Israelites in the wilderness, etc, etc.

God always repeat events as he likes. God has appointed time for everything in your life. He has time table for you. God told the troubled prophet Habakkuk, “The vision is for an appointed time” – Hab. 2:1-4. The appointed time does not always fail to come. Know that there are lots of events lined up to take pace in your life. For some of them, the appointed time came and you were glad. Yet still for others, the appointed time could be today, tomorrow, next week, next year or two years to come.

The bible says, “the righteous will live by his faith”. Hab. 2:4b. we don’t walk by sight but by faith. God took Ezekiel to the valley of dry bones. The bones were very great, many and very dry. Your situations can be so dry. Everything scattered. There may be hopelessness. Yet, with God, all things are possible. God asked the prophet Ezekiel, “son of man, can these bones live?” our answer now in the light of the scriptures should be “yes” – Ezekiel 37:1-4. Sure enough, upon obedience by Ezekiel, the dry bones lived. There was thus renewal, revival, restoration and resurrection.

Weapons may be formed against you, but God says, they will not prevail. You may be passing through fire but will not be burnt. Through water, but not drowned. I’m a living witness. God told Jeremiah, “today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall…. They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you” Jeremiah 1:18-19. This message is true for you too.

Jesus told Peter, “…. on this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it”. Matt. 16:18b. your business, education, project, health, finances, job, family, marriage or whatever may be in shambles, yet it is not over until it is over. When all thought and said that it was over for Job, Lazarus and Jesus, God surfaced and made it clear that it was not over for He is in perfect control of the universe.

The enemies of Daniel thought it was over for Daniel, but the God of Daniel was alive and delivered Daniel. King Nebuchadnezzar thought it was over for the three Hebrew children, but God proved him wrong, for that same king Nebuchadnezzar saw the fourth person (Jesus Christ) in the furnace of fire Jesus told the disciples, “surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age” Matt. 28:20b

Some events in your life are meant for God to be glorified. Always trust in Him no mater the circumstance.

God heard the prayers of Jabez and enlarged his territory. He will do it for you too if you pray and belive. God remembered Noah in the ark. You surely have some fiath be activated by that. For your numerous expectations begin to declare that the appointed time has come; the appointed time will come.

Pray the prayer of Habakkuk, “LORD I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O LORD renew them in our day, in our time, make them known.” Hab. 3:2. Hear God, “Now give careful thought to this, from this day on consider how things were before… from this day on I will bless you.” Hag. 2:15-19. God is saying to mighty mountain before you to become level ground – Zech. 4:7-10. Perhaps God has begun doing small things. Don’t despise it. God will combine His mercy and grace and bring your expectations to fulfillment. Not by your might or power. God can over rule lack of faith, hope and love and do things for His name’s sake and because of His covenant with you.
Begin to glorify Him for what He has started to do. Thank Him. Give Jesus the glory. He is the king of glory. Behold the burden is gone. The yoke is broken. The storm is over. The mountain has been moved to the sea. The fire is quenched. The sea is dried up. Dear friend, walk now on dry ground like the children of Israel. Sing the song of Moses – Exo. 15. Praise ye the Lord.
