TOPIC: RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE AND JOY IN THE HOLY GHOST FROM BEING A SHEEP TO A SHERPHED

Christ came to bring righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Christ came to bring meaning to your life from you becoming a shepherd after being a sheep. Becoming a giver after being a receiver.

You must necessarily give something to others if your life must have a meaning. You can give food, money, wisdom, knowledge, house, clothes and laughter to others. You can give healing, prayer and words of advice to others as a reasonable and complete human being. You can give Bible, song book and school text books to others. You can even give scholarship to others. Giving is not only limited to the poor and needy. You can equally give to the rich. After all everyone both rich and poor have need.

Do not only receive from others, but also give. Neither only give to others but also receive both in cash or kind from them. They are so many ways people can use to remember you. I mean ways to immortalize your name like God. One of such is giving and receiving, it takes love to give and it takes love to receive.

Cornelius gave much alms and prayer and God recorded it for him as a memorial. Dorcas gave much clothes to widows and God used that to remember her. Paul both gave and received. Once he prayed a hearty prayer to the Philippians after receiving from them. He said, “My God shall supply all your needs in Christ Jesus according to the riches of his glory”.

Your need is to be supplied here on earth and not just in heaven. To receive, give. Jesus said concerning the woman who gave all that she had that where ever the gospel is preached, she shall be remembered. Again that whoever give a cup of cold water to a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. That is the same reward that the prophet receives is what the person who gives to  him will receive. It is not until you give only to a prophet before you receive a reward but to whoever. The Bible says that give and it shall be given unto you good measures pressed down shaken together and runneth over. The saying goes “givers never lack.” Remember you can give both in cash or kind. You can also give service.

Jesus gave his life for us on the cross of Calvary and we celebrate Him till this day. God gave Jesus to us and we honour Him. Give and you shall be honoured. No wonder good students honor their teachers. Good members honor their pastors and good receivers honor their givers. Mind you, don’t be and ingrate. Also, if someone has taken pains to receive from you, honor him.

Life is not more than righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost and from being a sheep to a shepherd, from a student to teacher, from a child to a mother or father and from a receiver to a giver. Therefore trust in this life and trust in the life to come. Also trust in the New Jerusalem. It is the keeping hope, for remove the hope of heaven and all is lost in this life
